~Devonstration~
A live tutorial from Filomena and I. Brought to you on IGTV ~ here is a break down of all the products we used, and are using. Our Friday night in from our ISO diaries for a 90’s Devon Aokie inspired look.
For this look you will need:
Lipstick/cream blush in bright reds, or pinks.
A foundation or concealer (if you don’t want to wear foundation)
Brow gel
Brow pencil (for freckles)
Mascara
Small brush (or your finger)
For this look we are using:
La Mer Le Concentre to mattify and prep the skin. This is an incredible skincare product too. Another alternative is the Hourglass finishing veil (which I like applying with a smaller brush, to hit the oily spots with more precision).
For base: Chantecaille “Future Skin” foundation gel in shade shea. This is my favorite foundation, I have never found a base that I jazz with, and I’ve never heard of foundation in a gel formula but it is super seamless to apply, feels like moisturizer and doesn’t leave a layer of residue. Chantecaille is an incredible brand that uses a lot of plant based ingredients, and are free of Synthetic fragrances, petrolatum, and nasty toxins.
For Brows: Kevyn Aucoin brow pencil to draw (this has a super fine pencil) and Benefit Australia brow gel to finish.
Contour: Westman Atelier is another favorite of mine, her clean beauty line uses only ingredients that nourish and hydrate your skin. I love the concept behind all her products as they’re multipurpose. This contour stick can be used for contouring, and also on the eyelids, it’s a go-to of mine. Shade Biscuit.
Cheek and Lip by Westman Atelier for this particular look, its great to opt for something more pigmented than you would normally wear - as it is the 90s! We like mixing our lip palette so we used the Lip Suede palette and Baby Blush in Poppet
For the eyes: Chanel mascara and eyelash curler (the best in the bizz).
Most of these products are available on Mecca.
