Downtown, Chinatown.

In collaboration with Tiffany and Co

Photographed by Darren Luk

While I was desperately waiting for warmer weather in my European escapade to approach, it was either to continue to sit on the couch wrapped up in many of blankets, binge watching “The Affair” on Stan (LOL, nothing wrong with that really), or.. to go out and fulfil my soul and belly with heartwarming soups of Pho, bowls of sweet & sour soup, hot pot and endless mouth explosions of Xiao Long Bao's. Basically - childhood comfort food, yes please.
It was a stroll down memory lane as I set up out the front of Ju Mama’s, an exceptionally low-key, Chinese restaurant that my Mom and I, often nestled in every Sunday afternoon after a day of window shopping in Chinatown.

A steaming plate of Xiao Long Bao's and hot soy milk to pair (unseen) was ordered for our impromptu shoot, gone within seconds while my silver’s jingled as I scoffed down each dumpling whole. Don't worry I did manage to savour the last one and enjoy the pop of dumpling soup.

It was an old and the new, moment.
